MICHAEL CABOT
Michael is the founder and Artistic Director of London
Classic Theatre.
He studied Drama & English at Swansea University and
trained on the Postgraduate Directing Course at Drama
Studio London.
He has directed all twenty-eight London Classic Theatre
productions since the company made its debut with
Andorra at the New End Theatre, Hampstead in 1993,
overseeing the company’s transition from one of the
success stories of the London Fringe in the nineties to
its current position as one of the UK’s most prolific
and thriving touring companies.
Michael also has a close association with the Arcola
Theatre in Dalston, having directed Marat/Sade (2001)
and Pera Palas (2007) at the award-winning East London
venue.
He lives in Surrey with partner Karen and their four
children, Paige, Joseph, Benjamin and Isabella.
