EQUUS 2012
We are delighted to introduce the 2012 cast of
Equus. Five member of the 2011
tour, Malcolm James, Matthew Pattimore, Helen
Phillips, Steve Dineen and Jamie Matthewman, will
reprise their roles. They will be joined by three
new company members, all making their London Classic
Theatre debuts. We are very excited to welcome Fiz
Marcus, Joanna Waters and Stuart Angell to the team.
The full company will be as follows:
Stuart Angell
will play Nugget/Young Horseman. Theatre work
includes: Joey in Warhorse (National Theatre), Faeries
and The Thief of Baghdad (Royal Opera House), Travels with
My Aunt (Royal & Derngate, Northampton), A Respectable
Wedding and Metamorphosis (ONO Theatre), Madam
Butterfly (ENO), Low Life and Punchdrunk's The Masque
of the Red Death (Blind Summit Theatre) and Chitty Chitty
Bang Bang (European Tour).
TV includes: Adventures on Orsum Island.
Steve Dineen
will play Frank Strang. For London Classic Theatre:
Laurence in Abigail’s Party and Pato in The Beauty Queen
of Leenane. Other theatre includes: Vertigo for
Oxfordshire Theatre Company (UK Tour); Midnight (West End);
Gaslight and Murder Without Crime (Wolverhampton Rep);
The Cocktail Hour (English Theatre of Hamburg); Pera Palas

Jamie Matthewman

(White Bear), Oedipus in Seneca’s Oedipus (BAC) and
Live Like Pigs (Royal Court).
Matthew Pattimore
will play Alan Strang. He was most recently seen playing Jem Finch
in the National Tour of To Kill A Mockingbird (York Theatre
Royal). Other theatre credits include Look Back In Anger,
Wild East, Popcorn, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and
Frontline (Shakespeare’s Globe).
Film includes: A Landscape of Lies and Madonna’s up-coming
feature film W.E.
Helen Phillips
will play Jill Mason. Helen trained at The Central
School of Speech and Drama. Theatre includes: Anne in The Diary
of Anne Frank (Upstairs at The Gatehouse & Broadway Theatre,
Catford), Dear Heart (Faiz Mela Centenary), Dad's Army -
Marches On (No. 1 Tour) and State Fair (Trafalgar
Studios).
Joanna Waters
will play Dora Strang. Joanna graduated from Drama
Studio, London in 2010. Theatre credits include: Linda Loman in
Death of a Salesman (UK Tour), Woman in A Woman Alone (DogOrange),
Linda in Chocolate Bounty (Brockley Jack) and The Off Cut
Festival (Old Red Lion).
Film work includes: Maria in "T" and Anna in The Boy Next
Door.
