Paula first worked with the company in 2000 playing Rosie in My Mother Said I Never Should. She returned in 2007 to play Beverly in the 30th anniversary production of Abigail's Party. Other theatre work includes Tiger at the Gate (National Theatre Studio), Incarcerator (Old Red Lion) and Othello (Leicester Haymarket. Television includes Silent Witness (BBC), Casualty (BBC), Walk Away And I Stumble (Granada), Foyles War (ITV), New Tricks (BBC), The Brief (Carlton) and EastEnders (BBC).

In October 2008, Paula was nominated for a Manchester Evening News Theatre Award in the category of Best Actress in a Visiting Production for her portrayal of Beverly in Abigail's Party at the Oldham Coliseum.
